The Mauritshuis in The Hague houses a permanent collection featuring numerous Dutch and Flemish masterpieces. A primary feature of the museum is Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, a portrait that has influenced various literary and cinematic works.

The gallery also contains Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp and Fabritius’s The Goldfinch. Other notable works on display include The Bull by Paulus Potter and the collaborative piece The Garden of Eden with the Fall of Man by Rubens and Brueghel.

The collection is comprised of works by several historically significant artists, including Van Dyck, Holbein, Hals, and Steen. It is considered a central cultural venue within the city of The Hague.
